Capacitive non-contact displacement sensor
VT-5700シリーズ
This newly developed capacitive micro-displacement meter combines the VE series capacitive gap detector and the VT series transducer to measure distance and displacement to the target object (conductive materials such as iron, aluminum, copper, and various metal platings) with high precision and without contact.
The gap and displacement between the sensor end face and the target surface are measured from the capacitance of the capacitor formed by the surface of the object being measured and the end face of the VE series sensor electrode installed opposite it.
The VT-5700 series is a compact, low-cost type suitable for embedded applications, and includes two models: the VT-5710 with a response frequency of 4kHz and the VT-5720 with a high-speed response of 10kHz. It is highly effective for measuring and controlling shaft vibration and runout in rotating machinery such as turbines, electric motors, and compressors, as well as warping, flatness, and thickness of conductive materials such as silicon wafers and hard disks.
Because it uses non-contact detection, it does not apply load to the rotating or vibrating object being measured, nor does it change the vibration mode. Nine types of VE sensors are available, ranging from 20 μm to 8 mm in measurement range.
