Sound calibration
SC-2600/SC-2500A/SC-2120A
An acoustic calibration is used for unit calibration of measuring microphones and for verifying the readings of sound level meters.
Since sound pressure is affected by factors such as temperature and atmospheric pressure, it is important to use an acoustic calibration before and after measurement to ensure accurate measurements.
Depending on the measurement method, such as measuring acoustic power levels, it is stipulated that microphones must be calibration using an acoustic calibration.
Furthermore, JIS C 1509-1 and IEC 61672-1 stipulate that when using a Class 1 sound level meter, a Class 1 acoustic calibration must be used.
