Materiality (Key Issues)
Based on our founding principle, "It's worth taking on a challenge because no one else is doing it," we have defined our materiality (key issues). This materiality is identified from social, environmental, and economic perspectives as a management challenge for our sustainable growth.
Our mission is to "uncover the unknown and create the future" through the power of measurement. We are committed to seriously addressing unknown phenomena and supporting safer, more secure, and prosperous lives for people. To ensure this is sustainable, we established material issues in 2024, the final year of our medium-term management plan, Challenge Stage III, and positioned them as challenges to address towards 2030. Based on these material issues, we will promote initiatives and strive to create various social and economic values through our business activities.

STEP.01
Organization of potential problem elements
We extracted key challenges that need to be considered for sustainable growth. These challenges were compiled based on insights gained from dialogue with stakeholders.
-
STEP.02
Analyze/Select each element
We analyzed each element of opportunities and risks from both a societal and our own company's perspective, and selected priority issues to address.
-
STEP.03
Reorganizing the issues
The selected priority issues were reorganized in conjunction with Stage III of the Medium-Term Management Plan and compared with the SDGs.
-
STEP.04
Setting Materiality
The management meeting, comprised of executive officers and above, reviewed the validity of the proposed key issues, which were then deliberated upon by the president and the board of directors, ultimately identifying the key issues.
