Acoustic vibration portable data recorder
DR-7100

We want to thoroughly investigate any problematic sounds or vibrations. However, we may be at a delivery site, in a cramped or high-altitude location. When it's not possible to sit down and record data properly, we also want to shorten the setup time. That's where the convenient features of the DR-7100 acoustic vibration portable data recorder come in handy.

for example,
● For quick proofreading ⇒ [TEDS proofreading key] that avoids setting errors
●To record only the problematic phenomenon ⇒ One-push [trigger key] (pre-trigger possible)
●I want to check the recorded data on the spot ⇒ [RECALL key] switches to playback mode immediately.

Features

  • High-speed, high-precision data acquisition (4ch 40 kHz range 24-bit) *

  • Equipped with 1 channel dedicated to rotational pulse input.

  • Supports SDHC 32GB

  • Reduced setup time. TEDS sensor compatible.

  • A5 size

  • Dual-chassis synchronization function (optional)

* The 40 kHz range is optional (the standard is a 20 kHz bandwidth).

Animation example

Example of an animation showing actual operation using the DR-7100 4ch acoustic vibration portable data recorder.

1. Data Collection

To shorten the recording time, two DR-7100 units are connected in sync (to create an 8-channel setup) for data recording.

  • DR-7100 in 8-channel synchronized state
    DR-7100 in 8-channel synchronized state
(When unit synchronization options DR-0730 and DR-0703 are installed)

Sensor used: Accelerometer with built-in preamplifier
    (NP-3578N10: 2 units, NP-3211: 1 unit)

    * Operation is performed using the DR-7100 on the master side.
  • Channel 1: Records vibration data from the reference point (red circle). Channels 2-7: Records vibration data from the measurement points (3 axes).
Channel 1: Records vibration data from the reference point (red circle).
Channels 2-7: Records vibration data from two locations at each measurement point (3-axis direction).

    * All 58 data points (174 individual data points) will be recorded (30 seconds for each point).
    * It is possible to create a working animation even with data recorded from a single unit.
2. Animate using ME'scopeVES (WS-7340).

To create the actual animation, time-series data (ORF data) recorded with the DR-7100 is imported into ME'scopeVES to create ODSFRF (spectral data for actual animation).

  • Imported time-series data (extracting the analysis portion and overlaying it)
    Imported time series data
(Extract the analysis portion and overlay it)
  • Created ODSFRF data (overlay of all data)
    Created ODSFRF data
    (Overlaying all data)

The created ODSFRF is used to search for the target frequency, and its behavior during actual operation is animated.

This is an animation of the car in operation at idle speed of 14.8 Hz. You can see the entire car swaying like a swing.
