Digital Gauge Counter
DG-5100

The DG-5100 is a panel-mount type counter for high-resolution gauge sensors. With an input frequency of 3 MHz, it is a high-speed counter 10 times faster than conventional counters.
(Equivalent to a spindle speed of 1.2 m/s in the GS-3800B series)

A variety of calculation functions are included as standard, such as a condition memory function, a range (maximum value - minimum value) display function, a count weighting function, and an offset value setting function.

We have prepared optional features in the form of option cards. You can combine up to three different option cards. There are five types of optional features, as listed below.

BCD output
Analog output
DC power supply
Comparator
RS-232C communication

Features

  • Supports linear gauge sensors with 0.1 μm resolution.

  • High-speed measurement function: Ensures spindle speed equivalent to a 1 µm resolution linear gauge sensor even at high resolution.

  • You can freely select and install the necessary functions such as BCD output, analog output, and comparator output.

Case Studies

High-precision dimensional measurement of glass components used in optical systems such as lasers.

Glass components for laser equipment, etc., undergo dimensional inspection using a contact-type high-precision linear gauge during the polishing process to ensure accuracy in the intermediate stages before being sent to the final optical inspection stage.

  • High-precision dimensional measurement of glass components used in optical systems such as lasers.

Measurement of silicon wafer thickness with an accuracy of 1 µm.

Using a high-precision linear gauge sensor, the thickness of silicon wafers is measured with an accuracy of 1 µm. For small wafers of 4 inches or less, the ST-0230 gauge stand can be used.

  • Measurement of silicon wafer thickness with an accuracy of 1 µm.

Measuring tire runout

This device measures tire runout. Since measurements are expected to be taken in environments with significant vibration, we recommend using a vibration-resistant linear gauge.
If lateral stress is applied to the linear gauge sensor, we recommend using an indirect measurement method such as a jig.
However, please note that in the case of indirect measurements, the accuracy may be reduced depending on the jig used.
In this example, the GS-4730A is shown, which has high bearing strength and twice the vibration and shock resistance of the basic type.
