We have long supported the development of human resources who will shoulder the future of "Japanese manufacturing."

The Student Formula Japan competition (organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan) is a competition in which students plan, design, and build small, formula-style racing cars, and compete in various categories such as driving performance, vehicle concept, and production cost, demonstrating their overall manufacturing capabilities. Our company has been cooperating with the competition since its first edition, including noise measurement. On the day of the competition, several of our employees serve as judges, conducting exhaust noise evaluations. Through our sponsorship of this competition, we support the development of human resources who will lead the future of manufacturing, including in the automotive industry.

We cooperated with a children's media project that showcases the charms of Yokohama and Tsuzuki.

In July 2024, as part of our community contribution activities, we invited members of the "Tsuzuki Junior Editorial Bureau," a group of elementary and junior high school students from Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama City, to our Yokohama Technical Center to interview us. The eight junior reporters, ranging from 4th grade elementary school students to 1st year junior high school students, toured the center's facilities, including the anechoic chamber, semi-anechoic chamber, and reverberation chamber. They also had the opportunity to experience simple measurements using our products, listen to an easy-to-understand lecture on sound, and participate in sensory evaluation using the NV (noise and vibration) simulator currently under research and development.

    Initiatives for "Wellbeing"

In January 2025, our company and group company Sound One jointly exhibited at "WELL-BEING TECHNOLOGY 2025." Focusing on the theme of "creating pleasant sounds" that appeal to human senses, we showcased examples of our joint research with a cosmetics manufacturer, such as the "sound of opening and closing a lipstick container," demonstrating our commitment to creating new social value.

  • Interns from Nagaoka University of Technology are shown working on practical tasks related to audio products (such as measuring sound levels with a sound level meter and checking products).

Accepting interns who will shape the future

Since 2017, we have been accepting long-term interns from Nagaoka University of Technology. For approximately four months, they are given the opportunity to gain practical work experience in manufacturing, mainly through hands-on work related to audio products (measurement work using sound level meters) and checking products before shipment.

Cooperation with clinical training at Tochigi Prefectural School for the Blind

In September 2024, with the aim of promoting interaction with the local community and supporting the development of the next generation, clinical training was conducted at the Utsunomiya Technical & Product Center by Tochigi Prefectural School for the Blind. Our employees were able to refresh their minds and bodies through the careful massage treatments provided by the students.

Installation of a "guide dog training fundraising vending machine"

As part of our welfare support activities, we have installed four "Guide Dog Training Donation Vending Machines" operated by the East Japan Guide Dog Association at our Utsunomiya Technical & Product Center and one at our Yokohama Technical Center. A portion of the sales from these vending machines will be donated to the Guide Dog Association.

  • Students working on cars as part of an engineering training program.

Cultivating engineers who will lead the next generation

In 2020, we collaborated with students from the Science and Technology Research Club of Utsunomiya Technical High School to evaluate the performance of an EV formula car they had built, contributing to the development of future engineers. We provided advice from a technical perspective and based on our experience, and allowed them to experience driving tests using our facilities.

  • Participants receiving a lecture on safety awareness activities.

    Conduct safety awareness campaigns.

We irregularly hold tours of our Utsunomiya Technical & Product Center for high school students in Tochigi Prefecture. In addition, as part of Tochigi Prefecture's industrial education and engineering education program, our employees visit industrial high schools and other institutions to introduce our safety and health activities and conduct other awareness-raising activities.

  • Korean university students touring the facility

A two-day open house was held for South Korean university students.

In February 2024, we conducted a tour for approximately 30 students from Ulsan University in South Korea. We introduced our facilities, including the automotive testing laboratory, torque calibration equipment, acoustics building, and showroom, and also gave a lecture on "HySE (Hydrogen Small Mobility Engine Research Association)." Through the two-day tour and hands-on experience, the students learned about our efforts in the collaborative research and development efforts of various companies toward realizing a carbon-neutral society.

  • Employees who carry out cleaning activities to create a safe and secure city

Creating a safe and secure city through cleaning activities

In the Yokohama area, we collaborate with neighboring companies to pick up litter and mow grass around their offices. In the Utsunomiya area, we participate in the "Picking Up Litter Makes You Happy in Utsunomiya x Picking Up Litter Makes You Love Your City" campaign, working with companies and organizations in the city to clean up the area around Utsunomiya Station.

  • Employees conducting free inspections for disaster recovery.

Free inspections are being conducted for disaster recovery.

In response to disasters such as the "2019 East Japan Typhoon" and the "2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake," our company has provided support for early recovery. In the aforementioned disasters, we conducted free inspections of our measuring instruments, testing equipment, etc., owned by customers affected by earthquakes, typhoons, heavy rains, etc.
