Deployment of solar power generation facilities and EV charging facilities
In March 2024, we installed solar power generation equipment at our Utsunomiya Technical & Product Center. A total of 340 solar panels were placed on the rooftop and premises of the company building, generating approximately 200,000 kWh (about 5% of the facility's electricity) through self-generation, contributing to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (approximately 80 t-CO2 /year). Additionally, we installed EV charging facilities in the facility's parking lot.
Changed the lighting to LED.
We have replaced all the lighting used in the Utsunomiya Technical & Product Center from fluorescent lamps to LEDs. This will result in an annual reduction of approximately 198,000 kWh, which translates to an annual reduction of approximately 77 tons of CO2.

Onosoki Forest
Our company engages in environmental conservation activities by purchasing J-Credits * derived from forests from companies that protect forests in Tochigi Prefecture. We started our forest conservation activities with the cooperation of Tochigi Wood Industry, which purchased the J-Credits.
We will cultivate a portion of the forests within Tochigi Prefecture as "Onosokki Forest."
*This system certifies the amount of CO2 emissions reduced through the introduction of energy-saving equipment and the use of renewable energy, as well as the amount of CO2 absorbed through appropriate forest management, as "credits" by the government. The credits created under this system can be used for various purposes, such as achieving the targets of the Keidanren Carbon Neutrality Action Plan and carbon offsetting (Excerpt from J-Credit website).
We are implementing textile recycling of old work clothes.
In May 2025, our company renewed the work uniforms worn by our employees for the first time in about 10 years. The old work uniforms that were collected at the same time (approximately 1,300 long-sleeved and short-sleeved tops and 820 pairs of pants) were recycled into automotive interior materials and work gloves with the cooperation of Nakano Co., Ltd., a company specializing in textile recycling, instead of being discarded. We also purchased and reused the work gloves recycled from the old work uniforms. We plan to continue requesting recycling whenever a certain number of worn-out work uniforms accumulate.
We've switched to sustainable materials for packaging and cushioning.
As part of our efforts to reduce plastic usage, we have switched the packaging and cushioning materials for some of our products to recyclable paper.
We have changed the packaging materials for 67% of our standard products from plastic-based packaging materials to FSC-certified paper *. (As of December 2023)
