Our "Digital Flow Meter FM-3100," released in 2020, is a measuring instrument that can evaluate the fuel consumption characteristics of engine development with high accuracy. In response to customer needs, we have now added new options and improved functionality. Specifically, we have made a password lock function available as an option, which requires a password to be entered when changing settings. This function also includes automatic saving and retrieval of setting change history, increasing the reliability of testing.
Furthermore, we have implemented features that were frequently requested and inquired about by our customers. We have improved usability by adding a function to output the volumetric flow rate and calculated mass flow rate of a single detector in parallel as analog outputs, and by enabling the setting of the integration time via CAN communication.

About the password lock feature
1. Password Lock
Changes to the FP series, such as changing the Factor or the OUTPUT scale, which affect the measurement data, will require a password.
2. Change History Function
If you change the Factor of the "FM-0311A FP Module," the date and time of the change and the value will be saved so you can check them later.
When you perform Zero Cal or change the Low Flow Cut settings using the "FM-0321 FZ Module," the date, time, and values of these actions will be saved, allowing you to review them later.
Regarding the upgrade of standard features
1. Simultaneously output volumetric flow rate and mass flow rate to the analog output.
When using one module, the analog output OUTPUT 2 is used to simultaneously output volumetric flow rate and mass flow rate. This allows for simultaneous recording of both volumetric and mass flow rates.
2. Set the cumulative time using CAN communication.
The Auto Stop cumulative time setting, which could previously only be changed via the unit's control panel or RS-232C, can now be set externally using CAN communication.
