Our company has moved its headquarters functions from Shin-Yokohama to Yokohama Connect Square (3-3-3 Minato Mirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) in the Yokohama Minato Mirai area. The new headquarters incorporates the opinions of younger employees and is themed around "smiles," providing an environment that accommodates diverse working styles and allows employees to freely choose workspaces that suit their mood and work content each day. By creating a single open room without dividing the floor with walls, we aim to maximize real interaction and communication among employees. In addition, the partitions between the boardroom and reception room are made of "iwasemi™ RC-α" (manufactured by Pixie Dust Technologies Inc.), a sound-absorbing material that combines high sound absorption rate with a thin profile. Our measurement technology was used in the development of Pixie Dust Technologies' soundproofing technology. With the relocation of the new headquarters, the showroom functions of the old headquarters building (Shin-Yokohama) have been transferred to our Yokohama Technical Center (1-16-1 Hakusan, Midori-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture).

In addition, the MI-1282M10 low-noise microphone, which we are announcing today, is the first 1/2-inch back-electret type low-noise microphone in Japan *. As noise reduction progresses in home appliances and car interiors in order to create a more comfortable sound environment, the need for measuring minute sounds is increasing. This product achieves a self-noise level (A-weighted) of 4.5 dB (Typ.), making it possible to measure minute sounds in the 10 dB range, which are difficult to measure with ordinary measurement microphones. We will also be simultaneously releasing the SC-2600 acoustic calibrator (Class 1, nominal sound pressure level: 94 dB, nominal frequency: 1 kHz), which is essential for obtaining accurate measurement values and is compatible with the MI-1282M10. Further details will be announced at a later date.

*According to our research

Three key features of the new product

  1. Achieving a self-noise level (A-weighted) of 4.5 dB (Typ.), it boasts industry-leading performance (according to our research) for a 1/2-inch back-electret microphone.
  2. The power supply uses CCLD (constant current drive).
  3. TEDS (a general term for formats that describe sensor-specific information embedded in measurement sensors) support

Target Market

  • Home appliances, automobiles, office equipment, etc.

Features

Achieved a self-noise level (A-weighted) of 4.5 dB (Typ.).

It can measure sub-0 dB in a 1/3 octave band, making it effective for frequency analysis of very low-frequency sounds.

  • Feature No. 1

Measurement is possible by directly connecting a BNC cable to CCLD (constant current drive) compatible equipment.

Because a microphone amplifier is not required, the wiring inside the car is simple.

  • Feature No. 2

When connected to a TEDS-compatible measuring instrument, the sensitivity value is set, reducing the time required for measurement preparation.

Contributes to improving work efficiency in multi-channel measurements, which require a lot of preparation time.

Overview of the relocation to the new head office

New Head Office Relocation Overview_No.1

Floor design based on the concept of "smiles"

The floor is not divided by walls, creating a single open space that encourages open and uninhibited communication among employees.

New Head Office Relocation Overview_No.2

Areas, rooms, and booths are set up according to themes.

The office features a work area, focus booths, communication area, boardroom, reception room, and cafe area, and employs a free-address system where employees can work from any seat.

New Head Office Relocation Overview_No.3

It employs "iwasemi™ RC-α," which achieves both high sound absorption and a slim design.

This sound-absorbing material, manufactured by Pixie Dust Technologies Inc., is used for partitions in boardrooms and reception rooms. Basic research using our products is being conducted on this product.

[About Pixie Dust Technologies]
Founded in 2017 with the aim of "building a software infrastructure for the symbiosis of humanity and computers," the company was selected in June 2018 as a "J-Startup Company," a growth startup company under the "J-Startup" program, a government startup support program organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
