Details and impact of the defect
Details of the problem
In some cases, the LA-7000 series may not properly recognize an SD card when it is inserted and the system is started up.
This occurs particularly frequently in low-temperature environments (below 10°C).
How to check for malfunctions
If the SD card is not recognized correctly, the following error message will be displayed at startup, and the SD card icon will not appear at the top of the screen.
Impact of malfunction
If the SD card is not recognized correctly, saving to memory will not be possible.
If recognition is successful, there will be no impact on saving the measurement data.
How to avoid the problem
With the LA-7000 series unit powered on, insert or remove the SD card. If no error message is displayed and the SD card icon appears at the top of the screen, you can use it normally for saving, reading, etc.
Cause of malfunction
The issue was caused by a firmware defect that affected the SD card initialization process during startup. We have reviewed the initialization process and corrected the defect.

We have prepared a firmware update that corrects the bug, so please update the firmware of your LA-7000 series unit by following the procedure below.
