Regarding the power cables included with the double-insulated AC adapters that we sold domestically, it has come to our attention that, according to the Electrical Appliances and Materials Safety Act, they must be double-insulated cables. Our internal investigation has revealed that we have been using non-double-insulated cables. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause our customers, but we would like to replace the affected power cables with double-insulated power cables and recall the non-double-insulated power cables.
Customers using the affected non-double-insulated power cable are requested to contact our Customer Service Center or your nearest sales office. We will send you a replacement, and we ask that you return the old cable using the enclosed prepaid envelope.
Furthermore, if the relevant cable is included with the product when we receive it for repair, calibration, etc., our service department will replace it for you.
The non-double-insulated power cable itself complies with the Electrical Appliances and Materials Safety Act and is not a defective product. However, when combined with a double-insulated AC adapter, it did not comply with the Electrical Appliances and Materials Safety Act. No accidents or incidents have occurred with this product, but we strongly urge you to refrain from using our AC adapters and power cables with products other than those manufactured by our company.

Target period
This applies to products sold between April 1, 2008 and June 30, 2013, either as an included accessory or as an optional purchase.
However, we will replace the cable even if the purchase date is unknown, as long as it is the applicable cable.
