The EC-2100 is a small, lightweight, battery-powered, handheld speedometer designed for elevator adjustment, maintenance, and inspection. Compared to the previous model (EC-900), it doubles the measurement range (up to 2000 m/min) and reduces calculation time to 1/10 (10 ms), making it suitable for measuring the speed and rotation of ultra-high-speed elevators exceeding 1000 m/min, which are increasingly being introduced in recent years.
With a maximum measurement range of 2000 m/min and a minimum calculation time of 10 ms, it enables high-speed speed and rotation measurement.
The memory function allows you to save up to 10 sets of data.
Standard equipment includes analog output and pulse output.
The maximum value hold function holds the maximum value being measured.
The averaging function averages speed and rotation speed measurements (the number of averaging cycles can be set arbitrarily from 1 to 200).
Auto power off, battery level indicator function
The EC-0202 distance measurement function (optional) measures the distance traveled within a specified time (the sign can be arbitrarily set for the direction of rotation).
Remote measurement is possible using the external detector EC-0201 (optional).
By attaching the KS-300 rotating contact (optional) to the tip, it can also be used as a contact-type hand tachometer.
By simply pressing the peripheral speed ring lightly against the elevator wire rope, easy and accurate measurements can be taken. The display uses a highly visible red LED, allowing for easy reading of measurement values even in dark places. Furthermore, by fixing the EC-2100 unit to a jig or using an external detector (EC-0201 option), inspection work can be performed by one person.
The EC-2100 allows you to hold the measurement value not only using the push-button switch on the main unit but also by inputting an external contact signal, enabling safer work without being distracted by the display during measurement. Two displays hold and display the measurement value in two stages. In addition, by adding the distance measurement function (EC-0202 option), you can measure the distance (mm) traveled within a specified time.
The EC-2100 can also be used to measure the emergency stop distance of escalators by adding a distance measurement function (EC-0202 option) and a trigger device (EC-0203 option).
