We have recently discovered a bug in our tracking analysis software, DS-0222, that may cause the measurement to automatically terminate after fewer blocks than the maximum number of blocks specified, depending on the operating procedure. We sincerely apologize for causing this situation and promise to prevent it from happening again. Therefore, we ask that customers using the DS-0222 tracking analysis software check their software version and, if you are using a version that may be affected by this bug, please download the latest version with the fix implemented and overwrite it with the current version. We apologize for the inconvenience during this busy time and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Even if you specify the maximum number of blocks to record with the DS-0222 (up to 1000 blocks in the settings), the measurement may automatically end with fewer blocks than that.
cause
The number of blocks that can be saved depends on conditions such as the number of channels used, the number of sample points, and the saved data format. However, if the DS-2000 unit specifies a number of blocks that exceeds the maximum number of blocks that can be saved, it automatically adopts the maximum number of blocks that can be saved to prevent malfunctions. However, there were cases where the number of blocks that was automatically set to a small value remained at that small value even if the conditions became more flexible, such as by reducing the number of channels used, and the desired number of blocks could not be saved.
Eligible products
A malfunction occurs when the software version of the DS-0222 tracking analysis software (an option for DS-0221) is less than "Ver. 3.25.00.000 (released April 2006)" and the unit DSP software version is less than "Ver. 01.03.0099".

From the Help menu, click on Version Information (A).
Version information will be displayed as shown in the diagram below.
How to avoid operational problems
If you are ever limited to a small number of blocks, you can recover using the following method.
First, change the various settings to accommodate your desired number of blocks. Finally, set the number of blocks.

Please download the latest updated software with the necessary fixes to the computer where your DS-0222 tracking analysis software is installed.
