This is a battery-powered, handheld tachometer with an integrated measurement and display unit, designed for gasoline engines and general-purpose rotating bodies. It can be combined with many detectors, including the separately sold IP-292/296 and IP-3000 ignition pulse Electromagnetic Detector and TTL signal output detector, to measure the rotational speed of the target rotating body depending on the measurement target and application. Up to 20 data points can be stored in the unit's memory, making it convenient for later review.
The measurement parameters include multiple items such as rotational speed (r/min, r/s), cumulative rotational speed (count), and period (ms). Both analog output (switchable with monitor output) and pulse output are standard equipment. The analog output can be used for recording with data recorders, etc. (the monitor output can be used for checking sensor waveforms or as an input signal for FFT analyzers), and the pulse output can be used as a signal for tracking analysis with FFT analyzers.
