We found that the O-Solution has a software bug in the calibration function of the measurement mode. We would like to inform you about the details of the bug and the updated version of the target product.

CONTENTS OF BUG
In the calibration function of the measurement mode, it was found that the calibration value (EU value) was not calculated correctly when the window function was set to the Flat-Top. This bug occurs in Ver 1.3.9 or later. It does not occur in Ver 1.0.16 to Ver 1.2.7.
CONDITIONS THE BUG OCCURS
To display the Calibration dialog, click the [Input Settings] menu in the measurement mode and then select [Calibration].
Click the setting button in the [Calibration] dialog, select O.A. as the calibration target and Flat-Top as the window function.
When performing calibration using a calibrator such as sound calibrator, etc. in the above setting, the calibration value (EU value) will not be calculated correctly.
DETAILS OF BUG
The calibration value (EU value) is calculated smaller than the accurate value when the window function is set to the Flat-Top and the calibration target is selected as O.A. The cause is that the O.A. is calculated by applying the correction value of Flat-Top to the FFT spectrum obtained by the Hanning window, even though the window function is set to the Flat-Top.(e.g. If the accurate value is 1, it is 0.6392*.)
If using the above calibration value, the measured value will be approximately 1.56 times larger in the efficient value (approximately +3. 89 in dB value). *Square root ratio of the correction value of Flat-Top (approx. 0.2724) and that of Hanning (approx. 0.6667) when calculating O.A.
COUNTERMEASURE
We have provided the updated version of the software that fixed the bug. The O-Solution will be improved by installing the updated version software on the PC currently using the O-Solution. The updated software version will be 1.3.15.
